Closer... and I'll very probably be able to get a lift too. I'm really looking forward to seeing them actually, been a fan for years but I've never seen them before and I absolutely love the new album.
I'm looking forward to the Amon Amarth/Entombed gig on Halloween too, should be a laugh.
But I already got a ****load of gigs to do in October. I'll have to see. It'll be a shame to miss it especially as I really like their self titled album.
My gig list atm is:
2nd October - Baklash (first time in ages and last time EVER... probably)
10th October - Meatgrinder (it's an all dayer of grind/death metal)
18th October - Requiem/Desecration/Nox (In Manchester .. should be great)
23rd October - Devildriver/Behemoth/Trigger the Bloodshed/Suicide Silence/Malefice (mainly going for Behemoth but I dont mind the other bands. I just hope Trigger sound decent at the Wulfrun Hall)
29th October and 1st November - Cannibal Corpse/Dying Fetus/Trigger the Bloodshed/Annotations of an Autopsy (London and Leamington Spa)
And possibly Hymns of Sickness on the 31st October.
Sep 28 2009 - Destroyer 666, Negative Plane, Agrath and Open Grave Sep 29 2009 - Obituary, Krisiun, The Berzerker and Warbringer Oct 16 2009 - Augury, God Dethroned and Abigail Williams Oct 30 2009 - Mastodon, Dethklok, High on Fire and Converge Nov 7 2009 - Vader, Decrepit Birth, Warbringer, The Amenta and Augury
Might see Behemoth (supporting Devildriver, not that I'll be sticking around for them) oct 21, then Cannibal Corpse + Dying Fetus oct 30th, then Amon Amarth + Entombed + Evile oct 31st, then Slayer in November.
I noticed that Incantation gig in the Leeds Rio's gig listings the other day, looks like it's Hate supporting which should be cool. Always good to see Incantation too, wonder which bit of their equipment will break this time
Yeah man, I'm only going by what's listed on last.fm but it looks like Hate will be the suppor, along with Divine Eve (who I checked out and sounded pretty good) and Severance (who I don't know)
I just hope the turnouts are better than the last time Incantation played. I saw them with Malevolent Creation, Rotten Sound and Rotting Christ at the old Bradford Rio's a few years back and there was barely anyone there and that was apparently better attended than the time they toured with Jungle Rot and Catastrophic when there was less than 10 people turned up to Rio's for the gig... admittedly I wasn't there myself but then I was seeing all 3 bands at the Fuck The Commerce festival in Germany a couple of days later and all my money was in Euros at the time
Yeah, I think you may be right about the Absu gig. There's already a few people decided not to go to the Manchester one because Nachmystium dropped off the tour. Ah well, just leaves more room for me to headbang I guess.
Went to Traitor Fest last Sunday, going to see Therapy? this Sunday, got Amon Amarth/Entombed next Saturday and Absu the Monday after that... and I might go and see Chthonic that week too. Gig season has officially begun
